Turkey Trot presented by CBS44

Join us for the Turkey Trot presented by CBS44, the final event of the 7th Annual Flint River Entertainment Complex (FREC) 5K Race Series. Hosted at Veterans Park Amphitheatre in Downtown Albany, the Turkey Trot is a fun, family-friendly event that welcomes runners and walkers of all experience levels.

The race begins at 9:00 AM on Saturday, November 21, with the course starting and finishing at the Veterans Park Amphitheatre. This event features its own unique 5K course and concludes a three-race series throughout the fall.

Registration Options

Turkey Trot Only

Participate in the Turkey Trot as a standalone event.

• Registration Fee: $30
• Includes:
  • Entry to the Turkey Trot 5K
  • Official race T-shirt

FREC 5K Race Series (All 3 Races)

Take on the full series and compete for overall awards.

• Registration Fee: $75
• Includes:
  • Entry to all three FREC 5K races:
    • Pink Run – October 3
    • Monster Dash – October 24
    • Turkey Trot – November 21
  • A race T-shirt for each event
  • Commemorative Race Series finisher medal (participants must complete all three races to receive the medal)
  • Eligibility for overall series awards

1-Mile Fun Run

A 1-Mile Fun Run is also available for participants of all ages.

• Registration Fee: $10
• Fun Run registration does not include a race T-shirt.

Packet Pickup

Race packets will be available for pickup on race day during registration, prior to the start of the event.

Race Series Awards

Participants registered for the FREC 5K Race Series will compete for overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Grand Prizes, presented following the Turkey Trot on November 21. To be eligible for series awards and to receive the commemorative finisher medal, runners must complete all three races.
